Elizabeth Micklewright was born in Gnosall and christened on 21st June 1829. She had a twin brother Henry and they were the first children of Andrew and Mary Micklewright (nee Simpson).

Sadly, Elizabeths twin brother, Henry, passed away in 1833 at Forton .
Her mother Mary, passed away on 7th November 1838, shortly after the birth of brother William. We are not sure of the cause of death but it may have been a complication of childbirth given the short period
of time.

In 1841, Elizabeth, 12, was staying with the Fieldhouse family in Forton and working alongside her brother Thomas, 10, as a Farm Servant |
